 Posted by Hello
I decided to post Our Lady of Mount Carmel rather than Our Lady of Fatima as a memorial to Sister Lucia, the last Fatima visionary who died yesterday, to simply give honour to Our Lord and Our Lady for the life of Sister Lucia in the Carmel. Mary calls us to Her Divine Son; to love Him and serve Him fully. It is a constant call to each of us to conversion- not just the initial conversion but continual conversion. Mary only wishs us to come to her Son. That compleate humility to God, as she first declaired in her fiat at the Annuciation should be our constant prayer and example not just during this Holy Season of Lent but throughout our lives. If I live I live for Christ, when I die- I die for Christ...total surrender. The problem (for me- and I am sure others too) is that surrender is not always the easiest thing to do. Pride steps in...but Mary gives us the example to follow. Sister Lucia then gives us not only the messages of Fatima but also a example...think about it she could have gone on world tours, become rich off of book deals ect..but no where does she go to a poor cloistered Carmel to pray, to do penance and to also give us an example..that being total surrender to God. The Saints with Mary as the Queen and perfect example of Sainthood all lead us not to glorify them but to glorify Christ, to serve, to love..to surrender and convert to God..daily. Maybe, it is fitting then that the visionary of Fatima reported Mary's call to conversion that she (Sr. Lucia) should go on to meet God and rejoice with Him in Heaven during the time of the year that the Church sets aside just for us to do penance and convert more fully to God. May Sister Lucia through the tender Mercy of God rest in peace and rejoice with Him, and His Mother, in heaven. Amen.
Prayer to Our Lady of Fatima

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the most holy Rosary, you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message. We implore you, inspire in our hearts a fervent love for the recitation of the Rosary. By meditating on the mysteries of the redemption that are recalled therein may we obtain the graces and virtues that we ask, through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer.
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior; for He has looked with favor on His lowly servant From this day all generations shall call me blessed. The Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is His Name He has mercy on those who fear Him in every generation. He has shown the strength of His arm, He has scattered the proud in their conceit. He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, and has lifted up the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He has sent away empty. He has come to the help of His servant Israel for He has remembered His promise of mercy, the promise He made to our fathers, to Abraham and his children forever. Amen. (Gospel of Saint Luke 1:46-55)
Prayer to the Immaculata

O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and Earth, refuge of sinner and most Loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy on to you. I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet, humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to yourself as your posseession and property. Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you. If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of you: "She will crush your head" and "You alone have destroyed all the heresies in the world."

Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing your glory to the maximum in all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possible the Blessed Kingdom of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For wherever you enter, you obtain the grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

V. Allow me to praise you, O Sacred Virgin.
R. Give me strength against your enemies.
