Praised be Jesus Christ!! Now and Forever!!
This is just a quick thought/ musing but I think sometimes the old saying of be careful that you might get what you pray for is so true. I had recently been praying for various virtues and especially that of patience. The trouble with patience is the only way to achieve it is to be patient. Kind of a weird conundrum of sorts. The application of this comes home as I await the return of activities with my OCDS community and with schooling. I so much want to get started but I think Our Lord is allowing me to slow down a bit and enjoy the ride and pick up a bit of patience along the way for good measure. Divine Providence is at God's speed not ours- sometimes that is very fast and sometimes it is slower than we (at the time) desire. It is only looking back on the entire picture that we see the Holy plan that Our Lord has allowed us to be a part of. It is a good thing for us that He is the One in control for that is how holiness is achieved- in His Merciful and Loving plan. No one is born at the peak of Carmel besides Our Blessed Mother the rest of us have to slowly make our ascent and trust in God's Mercy and Truth to guide us.
