Weak little prayers that God loves to hear

Tuesday, September 06, 2005
I thought about the words a very wise priest I know told me when I was upset about falling asleep during compline at home a while back. He told me to offer my tired prayers and even human weakness to God in praise and thanksgiving. He told me that the angels can not offer such prayers since they never get tired and so God especially enjoys those prayers like 'I wish I could have loved You better today Father but I am so tired but do know I love You my God'. (my words not his)
I think it is like the gifts we are given by those who really give from the heart...the little dandelions as my friend would say mean so much more to the receiver than a expensive gift given by someone with many things to spare. I think the prayers to Our Loving and Merciful Father that come when we are completely dependent upon Him are so effectual because they come straight from the heart of a child of God. I think that those weak times either in times of suffering or just being tired bear so much fruit because we become the little children Our Lord wants us to be within.

By the way I am back for now to regular blogging if you can not tell by the way this post looks. I guess after all the links in the last few 'mobile' blogging posts did come come through so I will go back and fix them after I post this.
To my friends who I have not been able to talk to recently please know I remember you constantly within the Sacred Heart in prayer.
Omnia Pro Iesu Per Mariam!!

"Our Lord's love makes itself seen quite as much in the simplest of souls as in the most highly gifted, as long as there is no resistance offered to his grace"
