Consolations in the midst of desolation

Praised be Jesus Christ!! Now and Forever!!
It was a hard day for me Thursday. I find myself lately in situations when I want to say a certain thing but my words come out quite different and that frustrates me. I want to be a better witness for Christ and His Bride but my ego jumps in and then I fall flat on my face. Our Lord is certainly much more paitent with me that I deserve. There was a time of grace though when I unexpectedly got to visit with a Franciscan Brother this afternoon. As I look back on it- it was a little unexpected consolation. Looking back on it I kind of feel bad because I wish I had said something about the recent Feast of St. Francis to encourage him. He (actually Our Lord through him) encouraged me to press on towards the mark. I think Our Lord Jesus gives us all, be it obvious times like my chance encounter today, times of consolation and Mercy even in the midst of difficult days and dark nights.
I end my day as I began it in prayer and thanksgiving for the God of Peace, Love and Truth who helps me in difficult days through His Mercy to come closer to Him (and learn a few lessons along the way). Thanks be to God!
Omnia Pro Iesu Per Mariam!!
