Praised be Jesus Christ!! Now and Forever!!
While the Church celebrates the Feast of the Guardian Angels on October 2nd I think that this year since the 2nd fell on a Sunday we can honor them today. I am honestly not sure how it works officially so you may want to ask your priest to be sure. I would imagine that Our Lord would love to hear from you today in prayer as you ask Him to strengthen the Holy Guardian Angels that Our Merciful and Loving God has deigned to give us to guide us closer to Him. I think mine has been working a bit overtime with me lately- thanks be to God. Yes the holy guardian angels protect us but not just in physical encounters with danger but especially in spiritual warfare. The ultimate task of each guardian angel, I think, is to get us saftely home before the Beatific Vision and to help us to follow the Divine Will while on our sojourn here on earth. For that task alone I think we need to especially take a few minutes and say a Our Father, a Hail Mary and a Glory Be in their honor and that God will grant them the strength they need to keep us on that narrow road which leads to Him.
By the way it has been slower blogging for the past few days but my spare time was spent in prayer since I needed a booster shot of grace and mercy that only God can provide. I will be back to the regular blog through the grace of God later today. Please take the time at 3pm today, and everyday, regardless of what time zone you are in and pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. The stories are starting to pour in, even though I did not ask nor do I, of how that 3pm prayer for Mercy is transforming souls. Be gracious with yourself and be one of those souls that God opens the floodgates of Mercy for and for those in your life.
