Praised be Jesus Christ!! Now and Forever!!
If these times have taught me anything it is the necessity of preparation. There is no way I know to prepare for everything and one should not be anxious either. I think it is vital though to think ahead a bit of how you and your family are prepared and what you would do. Once we are prepared to our best abilities then we can have a easier time and piece of mind. The most important preparation though even beyond kits for physical needs is that of spiritual preparation. Regular reception of the sacraments and prayer before Our Eucharistic Lord Jesus along with the Holy Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy is essential. We hope and pray that we never need the physical disaster kits and that no one will but we will always need the spiritual preparation. I think the evil one either wants us to not be prepared physically or spiritually or he wants us to become anxious and loose focus on Our Lord Jesus Christ. Either senerio be it under vigilance and preparation or hyper vigilance and anxiety plays right into satan's hands. So, the best word I can think of is prudence to describe how we prepare for the unknown. Prayerful prudence which we ask the Father of Mercy for that we can focus on Our Lord better and not become anxious or unprepared for the days ahead. Just like St. Peter getting out of the boat as long as we place our trust in Jesus and focus on Him then the storm can rage but we will be safe. I have placed several links at the bottom of this posting which may be of help to you. You might want to visit them and print off the material for quick reference. May we never ever need to use any of them!
