Praised be Jesus Christ!! Now and Forever!!
I started thinking today, on my way to the dentist of all times, of how God has shown us all Mercy recently. I thought about the movie "The Passion of the Christ" that Mel Gibson produced. I think that the movie itself was part of the greater Mercy of God to draw souls to Him. You think about the number of souls that found Our Lord through the film that was Divine Mercy. You think about the lukewarm souls that increased their fervor- that was Divine Mercy. Just like good religious art raises the mind to God this film was art in it's best form. Maybe Mr. Gibson realized it then and maybe he realizes it now but I firmly believe that God used his talent to bring Divine Mercy to the world. After all the ultimate act of Divine Mercy is in the passion and cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I can only hope that somehow I can also bring souls before the Divine Mercy and be an instrument for the proclamation of God's infinite Mercy for all of us.
Thank you Mel for bringing the Divine Mercy to the world. I will offer my next Holy Hour for you and your family in thanksgiving.
Omnia Pro Iesu Per Mariam!
