Praised be Jesus Christ!! Now and Forever!!
It is always so wonderful to me when I hear of someone who has not heard of the Divine Mercy and finds Him for the first time. It is always so great to see how Our Lord Jesus Christ- who is the Divine Mercy - manifests His Mercy in the souls of those who start to grasp the depth of the devotion. I never tire of hearing how lives are transformed through Christ and through God's Mercy.
The thought that comes to my mind repeatedly in prayer is three simple words which I do not understand yet "it is time". In further reflection though I think with the dark days quickly coming up on us and the divisions beginning to emerge maybe what that means is it is time to fall upon the Mercy of God in prayer. Prayer for those lost in darkness. Prayer for those who do not know of the Divine Mercy- that each of us may tell more and more souls to trust in Christ Jesus. Prayer for the Church and for our Holy Father. Prayers for our parishes that the faithful may be taught of God's Truth and His Mercy. Prayers for our families that we can be merciful to others and share our faith and for God's protection. Prayers that today that just one more soul through our actions, words and prayers may find the Mercy of God rather than His Justice or the snares and traps of the evil one. Prayers that we may remain in His Merciful Love and remain faithful to Christ and His Church.
We need not enter into the days ahead with fear and trepidation but rather with a bold proclamation of the infinite Mercy and Love of the True and Living God. We have the prayers of the saints through the ages to lift us up. We have the Mother of Mercy, Our Lady, to pray for us and guide us to her Divine Son. We have the intercession of the Angels in heaven to lift us up. Most of all we have the Holy Eucharist to nourish our soul. We are called to be great saints of God- we are each called regardless of our state in life to be warriors of Light in the midst of the darkness. We should not fear for we serve the Lord God of Hosts who is Mercy, Truth, Love and Life. We need to pray and we need to rejoice for this is our moment to shine.
I am broken. I am so unworthy and so flawed it is unbelievable. If God can use me as He has through this blog and through my stumbling flawed words to others in my normal daily life which has happened then the rest of you have great hope. Each of you can be a great saint of Almighty God if you just do your part today. Pray. Avail yourself of the Sacraments. Pray. Trust in Christ Our Lord and go out and be His witnesses yourself. Don't leave it up to the priests or religious - or to me- to witness but you be His witness. You can do this. I will be there along with you in my little part of the world trying my best to be a witness to the Mercy of God. I will pray for you and I ask that you do the same for me. Let us bring souls before the Throne of Mercy and Grace for we are children of Light and children of Mercy.
Omnia Pro Iesu Per Mariam!
