Praised be Jesus Christ!! Now and Forever!!

We have on the calendar of Saints today a American Saint and a great holy woman- St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. She just like St Gianna Beretta Molla in this century (from Italy) were great mothers, highly intelligent women and great women of holiness and virtue. They are models for not only women today but us guys also in reaching for authentic holiness which comes from God. They should both be shining examples to girls and women today of dignity, honor and virtue. I think also when we men speak to women and girls we need to see within them the God given dignity they have and that they might just be the next saint on the calendar while we are at best enduring purgatory or worse. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton made a huge difference in so many young people then and continues to today. She like the other Saints teach me- teach all of us- that we all are called by God to become great Saints. Each of us in every state of life, at every age and what ever circumstance are called to the dignity of God's Holy ones. We have only to begin today in prayerful trust to Christ. We don't wait till tomorrow but we begin today to live, pray and act as children of Light. Each of us daily must cast off self and put on Christ in our daily lives in actions and prayers and stregthened by frequent reception of the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confession. Each of us can follow Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton's example to become the Saints and friends of God He calls us to be.
So, today I ask for her special intercession for some young ladies I know who share her name and her intelligence that they too may be the Saints of God that we are all called to become. I also ask for her prayers for all of us that we may strive to become Saints of Christ Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton pray for us and lead us all to Our Lord Jesus Christ through the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Amen.
Omnia Pro Iesu Per Mariam!!
